Release 2 notes
---------------

This release fixes some problems based on feedback and requests.

* The "Press any key" end message has been removed from release builds.
* The timer output has been fixed. Note that the shared source code files are now incompatible with the originals.
  This is unfortunate but is a result of fixing some double to time_t casting that caused unhappiness in the
  timer (which was the cause of the original bugs here).
* _sunlight_color support has been added.
* Fixed spotlights.
* Removed some thread-sync overhead.
* Fixed some bugs reported on Func_Msgboard.
* Added per-thread status output.

Note that thread-synchronisation overhead means that as the number of threads increases the speedup tends to
drop off somewhat. Sample map (light -extra, 501 entities, 475 lights, 10911 faces, 554M casts):

1 thread	2:47
2 threads	1:46
4 threads	1:02
8 threads	0:48

(This will be CPU-dependent, of course).

Unfortunately the original code didn't lend itself well to multi-threading. The biggest trouble-spot was in
the timer which used globals and static variables. After experimenting with only showing a timer for one thread,
I eventually decided to show separate timers for each thread individually. This does mean that the output will
be somewhat more verbose than before, but it also lets you view the status and percentages for each thread in
isolation (which is kinda cool in it's own way).

In an ideal world the output would be rewritten to show a more compact summary, but I didn't want to mess with the
original code too much.

The "progress bar" output is most likely broken in this version so I'd advise not to use it. Again the reason
why is multi-threading. The original code assumed only one lighting thread would update only one bar; moving this
to multiple threads wrecks things quite a lot.
